Objective and Contents of the Course

Course Objectives: By students who passed from UTİ 211 successfully;

I. Define and explain management, management theories and characteristics and the manager’s environment.
II. Take an holistic approach to addressing issues facing an organization; understand and compensate for the effects of changes on all aspects of an organization.
III. Identify and clearly define a problem/issue; analyze and question data and information in a rigorous manner.
IV. Describe the decision-making process and develop plans which use proper tools/methods to empower, inspire and hold accountable members of an organization
V. Describe the creation of organizational design
VI. Define and explain leadership and motivational theories and concepts
Course Content: This course aims to equip students with the skills to create and iThe course primarily focuses on the concept of management and its development, with the following topics to be covered: the fundamentals of management and organizations, the history of management, issues constraining global managers and global management, the basics of decision-making and planning, strategic management, the fundamentals of organizational structure and advanced organizational structures, communication, the basics of individual behavior, groups and teams, team management, leadership, and the fundamentals of control.

1) Identify the terms, concepts; evaluate and apply the theoratical and practical processes in foundations of business management.
2) Define and explain leadership and motivational theories and concepts.
3) Develop the system approach and analyze the organizations and managerial skills in their environment; identify the problems and provide efficient solutions.
4) Understand and apply the managerial functions(planning, organizing, leading and controlling) in organizations practically.
