Objective and Contents of the Course

Course Objectives: To provide students with the knowledge and skills to conduct scientific research in the field of engineering sciences; to equip them with the ability to plan, write and present scientific research and to evaluate the rules to be followed in this process.
Course Content: Students learn step by step procedure of Scientific method in Research Methodology. Students learn how to use scientific method in their research and what are the elements of Scientific method.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Lists the methods of using sources and citing in scientific research.
2) Develops a research proposal and designs the research process from beginning to end.
3) Understands how to use qualitative and quantitative research techniques.
4) Uses the information on determining and limiting the subject; scanning sources; collecting data; classifying evaluating and analyzing data
5) Gains the ability to conclude and present the research.
