Objective and Contents of the Course

Course Objectives: The objctive of the course is to provide the necessary theoretical background about service marketing, to teach to integrate the service marketing mix elements in the service sector and especially in the logistics sector, to develop marketing strategies, to establish and maintain customer relations.
Course Content: Service concept/Gaps model in service quality/Customer expectations and perceptions of service/Customer relationships in service/Service delivery channels/Physical evidence of service/Customers' and employees' role in service/demand and capacity management in service/integrated marketing communication in service/service pricing/service recovery/service product/service innovation and standards

1) Can understand and use the basic knowledge and existing theories about logistics and supply chain management (logistics systems design and planning, purchasing, manufacturing, inventory management, strategic alliances, risk management, performance measurement etc.)
2) Can develop logistics and supply chain strategies by using the appropriate theories, tools, and methods, and can make decisions about logistics system designs which support the enterprise's mission and objectives.
3) Can evaluate situations in supply chain management and determine what problems in the system and analyze problems and risks. 1
