| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is; to learn the basic principles of chess and use them in the game, to have the competence to participate in national and international chess tournements |
| Course Content: | Historical Development and Benefits of Chess, FIDE Chess Rules, Chessboard, Pieces and Movement of Pieces, Castling and Taking Pieces While Passing, Checking and Eliminating the Threat of a King, Checkmate, Draw, Notation, Attacking and Capturing Pieces, Defending, Square Rule , Chess Clock, Opening Types (Closed-Open Openings); King-Indian Attack, King-Indian Defense |
