Aim of the Programme

The prime aim of the Maritime Brokerage programme is to prepare students to the duties of brokerage and freight forwarding companies, ship agencies, marine insurance brokerage firms, foreign trade companies operating internationally, seaports and terminals and to increase the number of maritime brokers in the sector who are qualified employee who is competent about maritime transportation market, determines freight and ship compliance, makes voyage estimations, arranges charter parties in accordance with the maritime law and communicates in English language with a basic level of
management and business knowledge. Academic education consists of four semesters. Students are primarily specialized in maritime brokerage courses and courses related with logistics and economics. Once the programs are successfully completed Associate’s Degree Diploma in Maritime Brokerage will then be provided to the students.
