Objective and Contents of the Course

Course Objectives: At the end of the semester, students will have a satisfactory knowledge on the following topics:
• theoretical approaches of the international relations discipline
• concepts that help to understand international relations
• the political, cultural and commercial dimensions of the actual world issues
Course Content: In this course, it is aimed to convey the knowledge of the historical processes, theoretical background and related concepts of today’s contemporary international relations dynamics to the students. Within the scope of the course, the international relations issues will be discussed and the students will be provided to have opportunity to analyze these issues with a wide perspective. For example, issues such as the factors of the balance and changes of the international relations, why states make war, the history and mission of the international organizations such as United Nations, how globalization change the nature of international relations and climate crisis will be covered during the course.
