Course Objectives: | The main aim of the course is to introduce and provide the basic concepts and information of Maritime Labor Law, to gain the competence to evaluate and interpret the concepts and information in question, to give the ability to follow new publications by transferring the legal legislation in the field of maritime labor law. |

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Gain knowledge on the basic concepts of Maritime Labor Law. Gain the ability to interpret and apply the rules of labor contracts with seafarers. 2) Evaluation and interpretation of rights and obligations arising from maritime labor contracts. 3) Have knowledge about working conditions, working hours and shift patterns of seafarers. Gains the ability to find solutions to disputes related to seafarers. Gains knowledge of international conventions ratified by Turkey in the field of Maritime Labor Law. |
