| The main aim of Maritime and Transportation Management Program is to prepare the graduates to become readyin all respects to be merchant marine deck officers. Graduates completing a sea training period on board of suitable ships as will then be abla to serve as Maritime Officer of the Watch / Limited Ship Master at ships navigating all over the world. Graduates could also be able to be employed for the positions such as; shipping brokerage, merine insurance, human resources, port management and in other similar areas. Academic education consists of four semesters. Students are first to be specialized primarily in mathematics, physics, chemistry, basic engineering, technical drawing, computer courses and then further in navigation and navigation watch, cargo operations, ship handling and ship management. Once the program are successfully completed, Associate's Degree Diploma in Maritime and Transport Management will then be provided to the students. The cirriculum is fully compatible with the STCW 2010. |
